Independence

Rankings are decided on merit, before and independently of any commercial relationship. No brand can pay to move up a list or to receive a positive review. Sponsored, featured and partner placements are always clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial rankings.

Accuracy & corrections

We check specs, prices and claims before publishing, and revisit guides as products and prices change — each carries a “last updated” date. If we get something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

How our guides are made

Guides are researched and drafted from official information, specifications, current pricing across multiple retailers and aggregated public reviews, then checked against available sources and our editorial standards before publication. We use a combination of editorial research, structured data and AI-assisted tools to research, draft and maintain our guides. We rank on merit and research rather than first-hand testing, and we don't claim to have personally tested, visited or tasted everything we cover. Sensitive categories such as health and finance are treated with extra caution and presented as general information, never as personalised advice.

Imagery

A photo of a specific product, venue or place is only shown when we can source a rights-cleared image that genuinely depicts it; where we can't, we show a clearly branded WATTB placeholder rather than a look-alike stand-in. Some hero and category images are original, AI-generated editorial illustrations created in our house style — they set the mood of a topic and are never presented as a real photograph of an exact product, place or person, and never as evidence that we tested or visited something.
