Batch is built on curation rather than its own roasting, which is exactly why it earns a place above the format-focused services below it. Each delivery brings two 200g bags from two different independent UK roasters, rotated so no two boxes repeat, alongside tasting notes, roaster information and brew guides. The ongoing rolling subscription is £19.99 per box, delivered every two or four weeks and cancellable anytime; separately, Batch sells fixed-length prepaid gift packages that work out cheaper per box (£19.50 for 3 boxes, £17.99 for 6 and £17.50 for 12), but those are one-time purchases rather than a rolling subscription. Reviewers consistently praise the variety and the personal, reliable service. The trade-off versus Rave is a higher price for the discovery value, and versus Pact you cede grind-to-order control for breadth of roasters.
The good & the bad

- Tasting notes, roaster info and brew guides add real discovery value
- Strong customer feedback for curation and reliable service
