Skip it if

You want app control, the highest crisping temperatures, or the smallest possible footprint.

The SatisFry Medium is Russell Hobbs' mid-size compact, with a 4L basket (Russell Hobbs rates it to around 800g of chips), 1350W, a digital touchscreen and 10 preset functions including bake, grill, dehydrate, cook-from-frozen and reheat. The basket and crisping plate are dishwasher-safe, and Russell Hobbs promotes it as an energy-saver versus a conventional oven. Against the Cosori Lite and Ninja above, it drops app control and reviewer pedigree but typically costs less (around £65), which is why it lands fourth as the value budget pick. Its 200C maximum temperature is lower than the Cosori's 230C, so heavy searing is not its strength. Choose it over the Instant Vortex Mini below when you want a full-size 4L basket and a wider spread of presets rather than the smallest possible footprint.

The good & the bad

Pros

  • 4L basket and 10 preset functions cover most everyday cooking for two
  • Dishwasher-safe basket and crisping plate
  • Typically cheaper than the Ninja or Cosori compacts

Cons

  • No app or smart control
  • 200C maximum temperature is lower than the Cosori Lite, and reviewer coverage is thinner than Ninja or Cosori
