It is now the outgoing generation - Vitamix launched the newer Ascent X series in 2024 - but the A2500i remains widely sold and fully supported in the UK (from around £539 at John Lewis and other retailers, RRP £679) and carries the same 10-year household warranty, which is why it still earns the top spot for value-over-time. Its high-performance motor (peak output ~2.2 HP, per Vitamix) and hardened blades handle whole nuts, frozen fruit and ice without the stalling or unblended chunks common on budget machines, and the 2.0-litre low-profile container fits under standard wall units. Three preset programs (Smoothies, Hot Soups, Frozen Desserts) stop automatically, while variable speed and a pulse function give manual control, and the SELF-DETECT container feature adjusts settings to the jug fitted. What justifies the price over the Ninja below is longevity and consistency: the 10-year warranty and a body of long-term owner feedback pointing to years of daily service. The trade-offs are cost, less multitasking than the Sage Super Q, and the fact that - as the previous generation - stock now varies by retailer; it is also overkill for occasional blending.
