The Fellow Opus is the best-value way to get single-dose, no-hopper freshness without paying Niche money, and it is the pick for filter-first homes on a budget. Its six-blade 40mm stainless conical burrs, 41 grind settings plus micro-adjustments, single-dose loading, volumetric dosing lid and anti-static tech span pour-over, French press, cold brew and drip, and it can nominally reach espresso, all in a much smaller footprint than the Niche. At an indicative UK street price of around £175 (listed roughly £175 to £195 across retailers) it is positioned as a genuine sub-£200 value all-rounder in UK round-ups. It ranks fifth because it is the least happy of the group at the fine espresso end, grinding slower there and demanding more patience for reliable dialling, so espresso enthusiasts will prefer the Baratza or Eureka. Note a newer Fellow Opus 2 now also exists, so check which generation you are buying.
