EcoFlow WAVE 3 Portable Air Conditioner

The WAVE 3 sits at #5 not on capability but on value and fit: it exists for rooms and situations where the other four won't work. It delivers 6,100 BTU (1,800 W) cooling and 6,800 BTU (2,000 W) heating, app control, and - uniquely here - roughly 8 hours of wireless runtime on an optional add-on battery with a 75-minute fast charge, so it can run without mains power and without a permanent window installation. It uses a more efficient dual-hose design and, per T3, needs no drainage in cooling mode when humidity is below about 70%; it launched worldwide in May 2025 as the WAVE 2 successor. The catch is cost and scope: EcoFlow markets it primarily for camping, vanlife and RVs, its capacity tops out around 20 m2, and at from £799 for the unit alone (about £1,199 for the battery bundle, indicative) its cost-per-BTU is poor versus mainstream mains portables. Choose it for the portability and off-grid ability, not as a value cooling choice.
