Santa's Lapland — Saariselka
From ~£1,459 per adult (indicative, Santa's Magic, half board)
Indicative price at the time of review.
Santa's Lapland focuses on one thing and does it exceptionally well: the classic family pilgrimage to meet Father Christmas in Saariselka, 200km above the Arctic Circle. Its Santa's Magic package bundles flights, transfers, half-board accommodation, loan of full thermal clothing and boots, a husky sled ride, a reindeer sleigh ride, snow activities such as tobogganing and kick-sledding, and a private family meeting with Santa, so there are few costly surprises on arrival. The step-up Santa's Aurora package (from ~£1,699pp) adds longer activities and a wilderness dinner at the exclusive Star Arctic Hotel. A Snow Guarantee (change dates or a full refund if snow fails) and free child places on selected 2026 and 2027 dates make this among the safest first-timer choices, though the December departures closest to Christmas book up a year ahead.
The good & the bad
Pros

- Snow Guarantee and a smooth, family-focused operation (ATOL 0025)
Cons
- Peak December dates are pricey and sell out very early
- Built around the Santa experience rather than longer winter-sports stays
