The iO Series 9 is where Oral-B's round oscillating-rotating head meets a near-frictionless magnetic drive, and the result feels closer to a professional polish than anything else in the range. The interactive colour display shows modes and rewards a good brush, while the smart pressure sensor glows red, white or green to stop you scrubbing too hard, a recognised contributor to gum and enamel wear. App-based 3D tracking maps where you have and haven't brushed, which is genuinely useful for the first few weeks even if you later switch it off. It is expensive at RRP, but it discounts heavily and often, so patience pays.
