Kenyon Hall Farm near Croft is the antidote to the big-ticket festivals: a friendly, family-run patch where entry is a modest £3.95 per person and pumpkins are then priced by size from about £2 for the smallest up to £10-plus for the giants. It grows over 20,000 pumpkins and squashes across some 50 varieties, and keeps the emphasis firmly on the picking, with photo areas and a well-regarded farm shop and cafe rounding things out. It is open every day through the season (9am to 5pm, with the patch closing at 4:45pm), and infants under 18 months go free. That value and simplicity make it our pick for families who want an honest pick-your-own without paying festival prices.
