Dishoom has become a genuine London institution, and its brunch is where the magic is most accessible. The bacon naan roll, wrapped in freshly griddled naan with cream cheese and chilli-tomato jam, is the signature, but the Big Bombay and vegetarian breakfasts, akuri (spiced scrambled eggs), keema, chilli-cheese toast and endless house chai are every bit as good, and most plates land around £6-15. The interiors recreate old Bombay, and reviewers consistently praise the warm service and the consistency of the cooking across its London cafés. The catch is popularity: weekends bring queues because most sites take only limited brunch bookings, so arrive close to opening or come midweek. Note it is not halal — pork bacon and sausage feature.
