The Clarity trades the Total Control's sauté step for a clear BPA-free Tritan jug — glass-like but light — that lets you watch the soup as it cooks, and it costs less for doing so. It keeps the family-friendly 1.6L, 1kW format with smooth, chunky and smoothie settings, a keep-warm function, an LED countdown, an add-ingredients pause and an 800ml self-clean cycle, and reviewers note quick smooth-soup cycles that fit inside a lunch break (roughly 21 to 25 minutes). The Tritan jug is lighter than the Ninja's glass and, unlike the opaque non-stick jugs on the Total Control and Salter, transparent. The trade-offs are no sauté for flavour-building and a 1.6L ceiling, but it undercuts the Total Control while keeping the same capacity. Note it is currently sold out on the Morphy Richards site but still stocked at other major UK retailers; price is the indicative on-site list price.
The good & the bad
Pros
- See-through Tritan jug that's lighter than glass and, unlike the Total Control/Salter jugs, transparent
- Family 1.6L capacity for less than the Total Control
- Quick smooth-soup cycles that fit inside a lunch break
Cons
- No sauté step, so it can't build the depth of flavour the Total Control can
- Currently sold out on the Morphy Richards site — check other major UK retailers
