The Compact solves a problem the bigger machines can't: their large jugs have a minimum fill line, so a 1.6L model can't make a single portion well. At 1L working capacity (up to about three bowls), 900W and a small stainless-steel footprint, this one is right-sized for singles, couples and small kitchens. It keeps four settings — smooth soup, chunky soup, drinks and blend — plus keep-warm, a Clean mode and a digital display. It is a cheaper entry than the family Morphy Richards models, but the trade-off is obvious: 1L is too small for a family or batch-cooking, and there is no sauté and no blender power. Choose it only when compactness and small portions matter more than versatility. Price is the indicative on-site list price; it has been seen lower elsewhere.
