Prague's Old Town Square offers postcard drama, ringed by the twin Gothic spires of the Týn Church and the medieval Astronomical Clock, and centred on a 26-metre spruce that is lit each afternoon and evening. Stalls lean towards Czech crafts, hot trdelník, grilled sausages and hearty svařák mulled wine, with a smaller sister market at nearby Wenceslas Square. It is the busiest and most touristy on this list, but the setting and the long season, running to Epiphany, make it worth a trip. It runs from 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, typically open around 10:00–22:00 with reduced hours over the main holidays.
