The Fish — Treehouses & Huts
From ~£375/night (huts); treehouses from ~£605 — indicative
Indicative price at the time of review.
Part of The Fish Hotel on the 400-acre Farncombe Estate, this collection of handcrafted treehouses and 'Hilly' and 'Hideaway' shepherd's huts is among the benchmarks for luxury glamping in England. Treehouses sit up in the canopy, reached by a rope bridge, with en-suite bathrooms, underfloor heating, Nespresso machines and a minibar, and a Cotswold breakfast is included; the Hideaway huts add private hot tubs and roll-top baths on the deck. You get the seclusion of the woods with a proper restaurant (Hook, the seafood spot), spa treatments and estate walks a short stroll away, which is why it tops our list for couples who want comfort as well as character. It isn't cheap — Hilly Huts start around £375 and treehouses north of £600 — but few places combine this finish with a genuine treetop setting.
