Lakeland Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Airer

The Dry:Soon Deluxe has become the default recommendation in this category for good reason. Three heated tiers give around 21 metres of bar space, enough to swallow a full washing-machine load, and the aluminium frame folds almost flat when you are done. The airer itself is heated - there is no separate element to buy - and it draws roughly 300W, so a typical session costs only a few pence an hour. Adding the optional zip-up cover traps the warm air and cuts drying times dramatically, turning it into something close to a gentle drying cabinet. It is not cheap, and that cover is an extra £30 or so on top, but the capacity, longevity, spare-part availability and Lakeland's support justify the outlay for anyone drying laundry indoors most of the year.
