The Ninja takes a different approach: it is electric, so it plugs into an outdoor socket and holds temperature with dial-set precision, no gas bottle or fire management required. A small hopper burns wood pellets to add smoke, and beyond pizza it roasts, bakes, air-crisps and smokes, making it the most flexible cooker here if you want one appliance to do many jobs. It runs cooler than the dedicated stone ovens, topping out around 370°C on the pizza setting, so bakes take a little longer and the crust is slightly less blistered than a 500°C wood oven, and it needs mains power nearby. But for the price, and for households who want BBQ and smoking too, it is outstanding value.
